But before the backpacks come out and everyone's schedule gets busy again, there's still time to squeeze in one more summer adventure at the **Chassahowitzka River Lodge!** Located on Florida's beautiful Nature Coast, the Chassahowitzka River is the perfect destination for a family day on the water. Grab a kayak or canoe and explore the river's clear waters, hidden springs, shady waterways, and incredible Florida wildlife. And this summer, there's even more reason to get out and paddle! The Chassahowitzka River Lodge has been **upgrading its kayak and canoe fleet, including eight brand-new canoes hitting the water this year.** Canoes are a great option for families, with room for two adults—or two adults and a child—while our popular kayaks make it easy to set off and explore the Chassahowitzka at your own pace. Want to turn your last summer outing into a weekend getaway? Stay overnight in one of our **rustic cabins with full amenities**, or bring the camper and enjoy one of our full-hookup RV sites. After a day on the river, the Lodge Bar & Grill is just steps away for food, fun, and a relaxing end to the day. Before August disappears and another school year gets underway, give the family one more reason to say, **“That was a great summer!”** Come kayak, canoe, explore, and make some memories at the **Chassahowitzka River Lodge**. **Visit ChazRiverLodges.com and plan your Back to School family adventure today!** --- [facebook-f icon](https://www.facebook.com/pages/Chassahowitzka-River-Lodge/116150168413538) [Follow us on Facebook](https://g.page/r/CWKN1OsSV5sjEB0/review) [Follow us on Facebook](https://www.discovercrystalriverfl.com/directory/chassahowitzka-river-lodge-recreational-vehicles/) [Follow us on Facebook](https://www.linkedin.com/company/chassahowitzka-river-lodge) [Follow us on Facebook](https://www.youtube.com/@ChazRiverLodge) [![Chassahowitzka River Lodge](https://chazriverlodges.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Temporary%20CRL%20Logo-1.png?width=1000&height=313&name=Temporary%20CRL%20Logo-1.png "Chassahowitzka River Lodge")](http://Chassahowitzka%20River%20Lodge) 8501 W Miss Maggie Drive, Homosassa, FL 34448 ### Campground Office Hours All Week: 7am-7pm Copyright © 2026, Chassahowitzka River Lodge  [The Bar and Grill](https://chazriverlodges.com/the-lodge-bar-and-grill) | [Contact Us | ](https://chazriverlodges.com/contact)[Gallery](https://chazriverlodges.com/photo-gallery) ```json { "@context" : "https://schema.org", "@type" : "BlogPosting", "author" : { "@type" : "Person", "name" : "Chassahowitzka River Lodge", "url" : "https://chazriverlodges.com/chassahowitzka-river-lodges/author/chassahowitzka-river-lodge" }, "dateModified" : "2026-08-18T17:18:07.278Z", "datePublished" : "2026-08-18T17:18:07.000Z", "headline" : "One More Family Adventure Before Back to School!", "image" : [ "https://chazriverlodges.com/hubfs/IMG_1077.jpg" ], "mainEntityOfPage" : { "@id" : "https://chazriverlodges.com/chassahowitzka-river-lodges/one-more-family-adventure-before-back-to-school", "@type" : "WebPage" }, "publisher" : { "@type" : "Organization", "logo" : { "@type" : "ImageObject", "url" : "https://chazriverlodges.com/hubfs/Temporary%20CRL%20Logo-1.png" }, "name" : "Chassahowitzka River Lodge" } } ```
