Planning an RV camping getaway to Florida’s Nature Coast? A little preparation goes a long way toward making your stay on the Chassahowitzka River even better!
At the Chassahowitzka River Lodge, RV and camper sites offer full hookups with 30- and 50-amp electrical service and sewer, giving you a comfortable home base just steps away from the river. Before you hit the road, here are a few things you'll want to bring.
Start with the basics: your electrical hookup equipment, sewer hose and fittings, leveling blocks, wheel chocks, outdoor extension cords, and any adapters you normally travel with. A good outdoor rug and a couple of comfortable camping chairs can also turn your campsite into the perfect place to relax after a day on the water.
The Chassahowitzka River is the real star of the trip, so pack accordingly! Bring swimsuits, water shoes, sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, towels, reusable water bottles, and waterproof bags for phones and valuables.
Bringing your fishing gear? Don't forget your rods and tackle. The Lodge also has a bait and tackle shop and fishing equipment rentals available.
And you don't need to bring your own kayak or canoe! Kayak and canoe rentals are available right at the Chassahowitzka River Lodge, making it easy to get on the water and start exploring.
We have 30 and 50 amp hookups so be prepared to let the staff know what spaces you need!
Bring a cooler, some games, bug spray, and whatever helps you settle into the laid-back Florida camping experience.
Best of all, you don't have to pack everything. After a day of kayaking, boating, fishing, or exploring, the Lodge Bar & Grill is only steps from the RV campground—perfect when nobody feels like cooking!
Pack the RV, bring your sense of adventure, and come experience camping on the Chassahowitzka River!
